Green-light for the Digital Green Certificate.
The European Parliament has officially approved the agreement for the adoption of the certificate and, according to what was declared by the EU Commission, the official launch of the instrument for the safety of mobility in the Old Continent should take place on 1 July, at the end of the experimentation and ratification, we read on Travel Mole.
"We are looking forward to our commitment to introduce it by the summer," said Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, reiterating that the green pass will be "free, safe and accessible to all. It will cover vaccination, testing and recovery by offering various options to citizens ”.
It will be available also in paper format
As already announced in recent days, the digital and paper pass will not be a precondition for exercising the right to free movement and will not be considered a travel document.
Currently, the Green Certificate is being tested in over 15 countries, including Italy

The #DigitalGreencertificate, will certify the vaccination, recovery or negativity of a Covid test, but, according to ilsole24ore.it, it will not be a precondition for exercising the right to free movement and not it will be considered a travel document.
The regulation on the Digital Green Certificate will remain in force for 12 months.
